The Printemps de la poésie has dawn for the fourth time in Switzerland, with over 120 events and 90 partners in all regions of Western Switzerland. All programme and useful information concerning the festival has been available on the website since its launch in 2016, at printempsdelapoesie.ch.

The Objectives of Printemps

• Pool the efforts of all of those working throughout the year for poetry in Western Switzerland
• Show that poetry is pertinent in the various stages of life, and critical moments in everyday life
• Reiterate the broad spectrum of poetry within the community, from the highly specialised (academic realm), to the earliest discoveries (nursery rhymes)
• Highlight the social and anthropological functions of poetry, from antiquity to present-day
• Provide a creative image of cultural institutions
• Foster innovative meetings, structures, and humour

• Guarantee an ethos of joint responsibility, joint reflexivity, and sharing within a network of poetry actors
